New Underwater Laser Colors

Laser Tools Co., Inc. has developed new laser wavelengths for their Model SB10 and SB20 Sea Beam™ Laser Scalers.  The new laser colors are Red for minimum biologic awareness, Green for greater brightness in turbid water and Blue for long distance penetration in clear water.  The Sea Beams™ are water proof to over 600’.

The Sea Beam™ system is used to scale unusual objects, fish, reefs, artificial structures and mechanical fixtures at depths where divers can’t explore or the cost is too great.  The Sea Beam™ Laser Scaler shoots two laser beams 75 millimeters apart and parallel that the ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) views by camera.  The spacing of laser dots or lines are measured using a caliper or ruler on the video screen or video capture techniques and the range and size of the target is analyzed.  This saves time and is safer than a diver’s underwater exposure.  The Sea Beam™ is only 2.5” Long, 4” wide and 1” high, mounts directly to a ROV and weighs less than 90mg when immersed.  The Model SB20 Sea Beam™ is battery operated only but the SB10 Sea Beam™ includes a power cable.  This means that the SB10 Sea Beam™ is completely portable and can be used with all ROV’s, Drones and Submersible Vehicles with or without external power.   The power consumption is less than a ½ watt and the front lens caps glow when the lasers are turned on.  This provides underwater orientation.  For more information contact Laser Tools Co., Inc., 12101 Arch St., Little Rock, AR 72206, Phone 501-562-0900, FAX 501-562-0022, Web site www.Lasertoolsco.com, e mail lasertoolsco@lasertoolsco.com

New Speargun Laser Aiming System

Categories:

A new Speargun Laser Aiming System designed specifically for blue-water and reef spearfishing will be introduced at this year’s Blue Wild Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The GRT58DC, built by Little Rock, Arkansas-based Laser Tools Co., includes a bright laser beam that pinpoints the exact point of the spear’s impact. This means more head shots, less bleed-out and more first shot kills.

Here’s how it works: The momentary thumb switch turns the laser on right before the shot is taken, ensuring stealthy stalks and minimal school notice. The bright laser dot is enhanced in size for quick impact placement. This means that the precise shot location is known before the trigger is pulled.

Laser Tools Co. calls it “One Dot, One Shot.”

Red or green laser beams are available, with the green being 10 times brighter than red and often used in the Pelagic Zone.

The Model GRT58DC Green Laser Aiming System weights 3.8 ounces (108 grams) underwater so disturbance to buoyancy would be minimal. All components are 3D printed with a resin for corrosion resistance and serviceability. Windage and elevation adjustments are included so that fine laser adjustments can be made even during the dive.

A target is included for beam alignment during installation along with the adjustable mount. The laser itself has a power cord that connects to the remote trigger battery supply which doubles as a camera mount for live action videos. Optional spacers are available to space the laser mount above different size bands.

Laser Tools Co. Exclusive – LASER DOCKING™ SYSTEM FOR TRUCKS & TRAILERS

LASER DOCKING™ SYSTEM FOR TRUCKS & TRAILERS

“Green Laser Runway Lights for Freight Terminals and Warehouses”

Backing 53’ trailers centered to loading docks is time consuming, dangerous and error prone. Trailer and terminal docks are regularly damaged. Use the GLX series green laser lines to stripe trailer loading lanes. This results in faster and more accurate trailer docking. Laser lines are visible on all surfaces including water, mud, gravel and snow! Works best during morning, evening and night times.

Laser Guide Beams easily viewed in backup mirrors:

  • Center trailers to docks during backups.
  • Separates Trailers
  • Lasers replace painted lines and tape
  • Minimizes damage to trailers and docks
  • Faster loading and unloading trailers

Loading Dock Laser Guide Beams

This is why Laser Tools Co.’s Laser Docking™ System is the perfect trailer docking assistant. A driver can “see” the laser docking lines in his wing mirrors when the truck and trailer are approaching the docking lane. This guides the driver while backing up to the loading dock. Also, the laser lines provide a visual indication that the trailer is centered to the loading dock.

How a Laser Docking™ System Works

If you shine a laser beam onto a floor, you’ll see a dot. If you install line generating optics, the dot will turn into a line. But viewing the dot or line from the point of view beside or behind the laser is not totally revealing. If you stand in front of the laser line generator module and look at the laser line, the increased brightness is noticeable. This is because you are viewing the incident light reflected off of the floor. Also the viewable line is much longer. This means that the brighter laser line can be seen in low ambient light conditions and farther away from the laser module itself.
